The content as well as the activities were created by our FFA students. They met in advance with Mr. Kyle Sigmon, 5th Grade Science teacher at EES, to ensure the content aligned to the material students would be tested on during their upcoming Science AIR test. Each student learned about plants and pollinators, food webs (e.g. what's a predator and what's a prey within the food chain) and soil levels. After each workshop, students participated in an activity to reinforce what they learned. What an impactful way to help students retain information! And, it gave our FFA students first-hand experience in developing a lesson plan along with delivering it to students. It was an amazing way to inspire learning as well as inspiring future educators!
